Allied Battery Warranty

Allied Battery Company (“Manufacturer”) warranties each Allied® branded battery sold by Allied or any of its authorized distributors or dealers in the United States and Canada (“Battery”) to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 7 years, after the date of purchase, as evidenced by the original receipt (the “Warranty Period”).

The warranty replacement value (item price on proof of purchase) will start from the date of purchase and subsequently decrease at a monthly rate of 1.20% until the end of year 7 is reached.

 

Example of Limited Warranty Coverage

  • After 2 years or 24 months from time of purchase (72% of replacement would be credited).
  • After 3 1/2 Years or 52 months from time of purchase (50% of replacement would be credited). 

 

NON-TRANSFERABLE

This Limited Warranty is to the original purchaser of the Product and is not transferable to any other person or entity. Please contact Allied Battery regarding any warranty claim. 

 

NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY:

Manufacturer has no obligation under this Limited Warranty with respect to any defects or damage to the Battery arising from any abuse or mishandling of the Battery, or from any one or more of the following: 

  • Failure to properly install the Battery.
  • Misapplied or improperly sized Battery for the application
  • Batteries exposed to excessive heat or cold temperatures (See website for temperature range)
  • Batteries that have had the manufacturing date codes destroyed or tampered with;
  • Breakage, freezing, explosion, fire, wreckage, overcharging, undercharging, over discharging, charging or installing in reverse polarity, melted and or broken terminals
  • Damage caused during shipping or mishandling of the Product
  • Damage due to improper installation; loose terminal connections, under-sized cabling, incorrect connections (series and parallel) for desired voltage and AH requirements, reverse polarity connections
  • Environmental damage; inappropriate storage conditions as defined by the Manufacturer; exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures, fire or freezing, or water damage
  • Product that has been opened, modified or tampered with
  • Product that was used for applications other than which it was designed and intended for
  • Product that was under-sized for the application
  • This Limited Warranty does not cover a Product that has reached its normal end of life due to usage which may occur prior to the Warranty Period. A battery can deliver only a fixed amount of Energy over its life which will occur over different periods of time depending on the application. The Manufacturer reserves the right to deny a warranty claim if the Product is determined, upon inspection, to be at its normal end of life even if within the Warranty Period. 

 

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM:

For direction on how to process your claim under this Limited Warranty, please contact Allied Battery. If the product is approved to be sent back by the manufacturer, please ship the product at your expense and a copy of the proof of purchase to the manufacturer, Allied Battery.

The Product must be shipped in compliance with UN38.3. Please note that DOT requires all persons shipping batteries to be Hazmat certified.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER:

This limited warranty is in lieu of, and manufacturer disclaims and excludes, all other express warranties. Manufacturer further limits the duration of all, whether statutory, express or implied warranties, including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the warranty period.

Manufacturer’s exclusive liability for breach of any warranty on the Battery shall be to replace the Battery within the warranty period in accordance with the terms of this limited warranty. In no event shall manufacturer be liable for any loss or damages of any other kind, whether direct, incidental, consequential including lost profits, exemplary, special or otherwise, including any lost profits or removal, shipping, or installation expenses.

EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE, SELLER MAKES NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO THE GOODS, INCLUDING ANY (A) WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY; OR (B) WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE. 

 

LEGAL RIGHTS:

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from country to country or state to state. Some countries and states do not allow any limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. 

 

NON-ALLIED WARRANTIES:

Your authorized allied distributor or dealer may offer its own warranty in addition to this Limited Warranty; warranty may vary in warranty period, scope of coverage, or exclusions. Manufacturer is not responsible for any such additional distributor or dealer-provided warranties.
